5. The American Denial of Global Warming

Why do some Americans still believe that there is "no solid" evidence of global warming, or that if warming is happening it can be attributed to natural variability? Illuminating.  I expecially liked Noami Oreskes' address.  Took a lot of time but well worth the pursuit.  Thanks for the information.

  2. Solar Electric Light Fund

The Fox News segment is ridiculous. Do the Fox News figures believe reiterating the size of the report will bolster its credibility and applicability? And why exactly should UN reports be ignored?

I loved Noami Oreskes' lecture - I also love the placement of the Fox news reports after it - it goes to show that our news system today is still trying to claim that global warming and the science behind it is "in question" or "false". Fox News should be ashamed and the "scientist" at the EPA must be getting serious paychecks from the Coal and Oil industries for his "report".

Naomi Oreskes' lecture demonstrates a very impressive thoroughness of research, and her delivery was excellent, also. But most important of all is her ability to search for and find the truth. This is in exact contradistinction to those who have tried to obscure the truth to forward their own political agendas. It may be typical human behavior, but if we cannot evolve beyond it, humans may not be around for much longer.
